Dear Friends,

One of the most good-feeling life segments that I have lived lately, was this morning, as I focused my attention forward, to next September, when we will board the incredible Celebrity Eclipse Ship in Vancouver, Canada, and set sail for the magnificent Hawaiian Islands. I have long understood the value of forward thinking and of focusing upon things that feel good, but just now I felt a visceral feeling of physical replenishment as I thought about this ship, and these waters, and these places and being there with all of you.

One might say that since “this cruise is a long way off that I don’t need to think about it, or plan for it yet.” And I don’t disagree with that. There clearly are many more pressing things to consider than a cruise that is a year away. But I also know, with certainty, that I have not experienced a better feeling segment of time, ever, than the one I just experienced as I “dreamed” about this Hawaiian Cruise experience. And that is really what I am suggesting to you. Whether you take action immediately, or not, let your mind go there. Let this be something you focus on, for a while, and let it fill you with feelings of well-being, and interest, and surprise and delight, and happy excited anticipation of being focused in your physical body, living life in the fullest of ways, tuned in, tapped in and turned on to life.

Check out the itinerary. It is really wonderful. Ten nights! A full day in Victoria, Canada! Many days in Hawaii, Hawaii, Hawaii AND lots of sea days, meaning lots of time in the glorious theater with Abraham.

I love you so much,
Esther
(and Abraham and Jerry)

Ports of Call and
Cruising Highlights

Vancouver, BC, Canada

Vancouver, a bustling west coast seaport in British Columbia, is among Canada’s densest, most ethnically diverse cities. A popular filming location, it is surrounded by mountains, and also has thriving art, theatre and music scenes. This culinary capital treats you to fresh local seafood, farm-to-table produce, and authentic Asian flavors. Explore cosmopolitan and historic neighborhoods such as Gastown, Chinatown, Robson Street, and English Bay. Drive over the Lions Gate Bridge and into the temperate rainforest of Vancouver’s North Shore. Here, you can visit Capilano Suspension Bridge Park and the Salmon Hatchery. This exciting city is a great start to our cruise.

Victoria, BC, Canada

Of all the cities in Canada, Victoria has the most British vibe. Extensive galleries are devoted to the history of the First People at the Royal British Columbia Museum, one of Victoria’s top tourist attractions. Take time for a jaunt to the famous Butchart Gardens, a truly stunning show garden developed on the site of a depleted quarry. Take a scenic carriage ride and view all the beautiful Victorian architecture or visit the historic Hatley Castle and its lush gardens or the Craigdarroch Castle mansion. You can also enjoy tea at the famous grand Fairmont Empress. And for shoppers a leisurely stroll down Johnson Street with all its boutique shops will not disappoint.

Hilo, Hawaii

This is the flowery side of the Big Island of Hawaii, where the lush countryside is painted vivid with glossy red anthuriums and orchids bloom in every color and can be seen at the acclaimed Queen Liliuokalani Gardens. Or head to Volcanoes National Park where you may view the lava flows of Kilauea, home of Pele, hot-headed goddess of fire. This area is home to rainforests and the active Kilauea and Mauna Loa volcanoes. Visit some of the most beautiful waterfalls including the famous Waianuenue Falls which is commonly called Rainbow Falls. There are plenty of activities to be found in town such as a visit to the ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center or get a taste of Hawaiian history in the Lyman Museum and Mission House. There is also a tropical zoo and a fantastic local farmers market.

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

This was once the seat of power from which the great King Kamehameha ruled his island empire. Located on the picturesque Kona Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, some of the world’s best coffee is harvested here along with macadamia nuts. Kailua-Kona is close to the marine sanctuary of Kealakekua Bay. This snorkeling haven is also home to the Captain Cook Monument. North Kona has some of the most gorgeous white sand beaches on the island. Visit Keone’ele Cove where you can watch the Honu (Hawaiian green sea turtles). And don’t forget to visit Pu’uhonua o Honaunau, formerly known as the Place of Refuge, where you can explore how the Hawaiians worked and lived.

Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii

The Island of Maui also known as “The Valley Isle” is the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands. The Valley Island is home to a vast array of scenery from lush tropical rainforests with some of the world’s largest prehistoric gigantic ferns to volcanic craters and amazing beaches. Once the center of the notorious Yankee Pacific whaling fleet, today Lahaina’s historic shops and ship chandleries have been transformed into fashionable boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. Stunning beaches and world-class golf courses are within easy reach of the port. Experience the wonder and majesty of the humpback whale, Haleakala Crater, and the scenic road to Hana with its seven sacred pools. Maui is also home to a variety of botanical gardens, each with their own uniqueness.

Honolulu

Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii

This island has the classic Hawaiian allure: pineapple plantations, surfing beaches, scenic Diamond Head overlooking Waikiki Beach, and fun hula shows and luaus. Honolulu offers great shopping and some wonderful cultural sites such as the Bishop Museum, the premier natural and cultural institution in the Pacific. You can also visit the Arizona Memorial commemorating Pearl Harbor, Honolulu Museum of Art and the amazing Iolani Palace, the only official state residence of royalty in the U.S. Its grounds and galleries are now open to the public as a museum. Spending extra time in our 50th state after our cruise ends would add to a wonderful vacation.
